“We as the boy led youth leadership of Troop 291 envision a responsible, trained, and committed core of leaders that keep to the scout oath and law, not just in Scouts, but also in everyday life. We honor and take pride in learning from our mistakes while putting safety as our main priority. Our boy led troop is composed of active, performing patrols advancing in both rank and character while having fun, interactive meetings and outings.”
Scout Troop 291 in Hicksville New York is celebrating our 75th year!
Trinity Lutheran Church has been suporting Troop 291 since 1951!
The troop meets Monday evenings (unless otherwise noted) at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Hicksville.
In addition to Troop meetings, there is at least one monthly weekend activity, which is generally Friday night through Sunday afternoon or one day events. Trips usually depart from the church parking lot–please check the calendar for this upcoming events.
Please Note:
Parents should be prompt in picking up their son after the Troop meeting. Troop and Scouting America policy dictates that no Scout will be left at the meeting without two-deep adult leadership present. A late pickup means that two adults are delayed in getting home to their families.
